The suite helps enterprises transform their data into intelligent actions by combining the capabilities provided by big data, machine learning and cloud-based analytics. Microsoft made it clear that the marriage of mobile and cloud with advanced analytics and predictive intelligence is the future of enterprise solutions and products.
In the initial product announcement on Microsoft Azure Blog, Takeshi Numoto, CVP of Cloud + Enterprise describes the Customer need for such a service: Our Customers want to transform data to intelligent action and reinvent their business processes. To do this they need to more easily analyze massive amounts of data, so they can move from seeing what happened, and understanding why it happened, to predicting what will happen, and ultimately, knowing what should I do. Only then can they create the intelligent enterprise.
